Yes, this is my website and so I have the luxury of being able to do a little bit more on my part to help raise public awareness and hopefully encourage a few more people to make kind donations to these very worthy endangered animal non-profit charities.
First, I am an animal lover, and so I do try to donate to various wildlife conservation groups and causes that help animals.
Next, I am a nature lover and I am concerned about what HUMANS are doing to Mother Earth! The disrespect of the land, the sea, the air, and the inhabitants of this world, both human and non-human saddens me and makes me mad and frustrates me!
So, to try to make a difference in ways that I am able, I have decided to start a web page devoted to what I believe are very worthy causes that you possibly might not be aware of. I also want to assure you that I have done all I could to check out the way these non-profits allocate the funds, in order that you and I know that if we send a donation, that the money is not being wasted on unnecessary "administrative" costs and such.
To investigate charities that you wish to make donations to, all you have to do is go to a search engine like Google and search for the term "charity ratings" and you will find a listing of organizations that evalute the financial health of many of the USA's charities.
For now, I want to bring these organizations to your attention. As time goes on, I will be adding more. Please do not get angry if I have missed your favorite and very worthy charity! Just contact me and let me know what group you wish for me to take a look at and why you feel it should be included on my site. I will take all non-profit endangered animal and wildlife causes into sincere consideration!
Please note I have tried to mention funding groups that also support these causes. I do this to show you these charities and projects are legit! But just because larger groups support them, does NOT mean they still do not need my or your donations.
Alright, here I go. Please note these are in no special order of importance ...
The tiny Mono Titi are Squirrel Monkeys that inhabit the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, primarily in the Manuel Antonio and Osa/Corcovado National Parks.
I took your microscope to Nepal in June. I thought you would like to know your scope has been put to good use - here is a photo of one of our vets - Dr. Jeewan Thapa using the scope in our field lab. Thanks again for your donation! ~~ Susan
